On Monday 30th of September, Vernon Kay hosted the eighteenth Trendvision awards ceremony at the Roundhouse in Camden Town, London.

We were lucky enough to attend the event and what a night it was!

We experienced exclusive hair shows from the Sassoon Academy & Robert Eaton, as well as the new collaboration show, which showcased some of the best work by some of the top stylists in the country.

Models were showcased by competitors on the central stage, giving guests a chance to see the detail of every look, take photographs and speak to the stylists about how they achieved certain effects.

The whole evening was magical, we were treated to a cocktail-reception on the balcony, where we were able to network with other stylists, industry professionals & media personalities, followed by a sensational three-course dinner. We had the opportunity to meet some industry greats including Errol Douglas MBE, Nicky Clarke, Patrick Cameron & many more.

Trendvision is the perfect place to meet other salon owners & stylists alike and really talk about our industry, both the ups and the downs. Often the hairdressing industry can be a very closed book, with no one sharing any of their ‘secrets’ in fear of something. But these ceremonies are a celebration of an industry that can still be accessed by the independents, an industry that can and will thrive.

We’re looking forward to next year with a couple of our own entries! #BringOn2020
