Work for yourself. Not by yourself.

Two ways for self-employed hairdressers in Northampton to run their own column at MAJOR. Pick the one that fits where you are right now, and we'll look after the rest.

WORK FROM MAJOR

Your business. Our home.

MAJOR has been part of Northampton's hair scene since 1992. We're family run, we care about doing things properly, and our clients have been coming back to us for decades.

Going self-employed shouldn't mean going it alone. Whether you'd rather start with no upfront cost or lock in one fixed fee for your own station, you get a busy salon floor, a front desk that answers the phone, and people around you who love hair as much as you do.

TWO WAYS TO WORK

Profit share or chair rental?

Both give you the freedom of working for yourself. The difference is how you pay for your space, and which suits your diary right now.

HOW IT WORKS

Three easy steps, no pressure.

01

Send an enquiry

Fill in the short form below and tell us which option interests you. It takes two minutes.

02

Come in for a coffee

We’ll meet you at the salon for an informal chat, show you around and talk through how each option works.

03

Agree on what suits you

Profit share or chair rental, days and site are all agreed in person, so you know exactly where you stand before committing.

Questions

Which option is right for me?

If you’re building your client base or want to start without a fixed bill, profit share is usually the easier first step. If your diary is already full and steady, chair rental tends to work out better. We’ll help you weigh it up when you visit.

01

Can I choose my own days & hours?

Yes, on either option. You run your own business, so you decide when you work. We’ll just coordinate with you so the diary and front desk run smoothly.

02

Do I need to bring clients with me?

An existing client base really helps, and most of the stylists we talk to have one. If you’re rebuilding after a move, tell us on the form and we’ll talk it through. Profit share is often the easier place to start while your diary grows.

03

Do I have to use your product company?

No. Davines is our colour house and it’s available on site, but you’re free to use the professional products you trust.

04

What are the terms?

Every stylist’s situation is different, so we go through everything properly in person on your first visit, for whichever option you’re interested in.

05

ENQUIRE

Let's have a chat.

Tell us a little about you and which option you're leaning towards. Not sure yet? That's fine too. We'll be in touch within a couple of days to arrange a coffee and a look around.
